Setup

Install.

Xcode hosts the coding agent; that agent is the MCP client. Configure Adios inside the agent-specific Xcode environment.

    Choose an agent

    Open Xcode Settings > Intelligence and install or enable the coding agent you want to use.

    Open its config

    Use the matching folder under ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/CodingAssistant, such as codex for the Codex agent.

  3. 03

    Add Adios

    Add the remote MCP entry using that agent's normal config format. The TOML example is for Codex.

    Authorize

    Restart the agent in Xcode, connect Adios, and complete browser OAuth when prompted.

    Try a prompt

    Ask the Xcode agent to verify Adios or build and preview the open project.

FAQ.

Is Xcode itself the OAuth client?

The selected coding agent handles the Adios MCP connection inside Xcode. Adios therefore records the agent name, such as Codex or Claude.

Is xcrun mcpbridge required?

Not for Adios. mcpbridge exposes Xcode tools to an external agent; this setup adds Adios tools to an agent already running inside Xcode.

How do I verify the connection?

Ask the client to call auth_me. A successful response identifies the authorized Adios user and current team context.

How do I disconnect it?

Open Marketplace in the Adios app, find AI clients, and choose Disconnect. Adios revokes that user's grant and refresh-token family without affecting anyone else.

Can this client deploy to production?

Yes. Deployment tools are available, but deployment and other sensitive operations remain approval-gated. The client should explain the intended action and wait for explicit confirmation.
